Unified Data Model

Challenges

They wanted to replace their existing blood management system with advanced architecture,
but it led to significant refactoring of enterprise data structures. Besides, their existing data
warehouse (Teradata) was not structured based on subject areas and included more than 10
complex subject areas. Due to the absence of defined data marts, segregating data into
domains for various reporting requirements appeared challenging. Their legacy data warehouse
also lacked scalability to support business agility and faster time-to-market.
